Ten Thousand Flowers

$0.00

Ten Thousand Flowers is a part of our Beauty of Life exhibition in collaboration with the Japanese ceramic artist Yuki Hayama. Ten Thousand Flowers is one of four carpet designs made especially for this collection - each piece handwoven by skilled artisans in Nepal. Two of four nature themes seen throughout Hayama's pottery, Water and Earth, are brought to life on the larger canvas of Joseph Carini's carpets, translated with hand-spun Himalayan wools and the finest sparkling silk. The use of natural botanical dyes in these and almost all of Carini's carpets further enhances the commonality between the works of these two artists, both of whom strive to bring the natural world into their artistic world, and whose designs are dominated by inspirations from nature.
